All about friends

Thanks to the joy of the internet, we can stay connected to our friends, even from our island in the North Sea.  This week one of them has come up trumps!

This amazing landscape (photograph, unfortunately, is not mine. It comes from the Guardian newspaper who credit Xinhua/Landov/Barcroft Media) can be found in Gansu province in North-West China. Called the Rainbow Mountains, the landscape of sandstone has been tilted up and eroded to form amazing colours and patterns. Have a look at these pictures on the Guardian website. You will be inspired to create beautiful fabrics, I am sure!

That very same friend (thank you, Ms. You Know Who You Are) sent through this beautiful photoshoot. Elegance personified, don't you think? We immediately went out and took some of our own photos of Shetland scarves, just because we were inspired. And no, you can't see our photos yet. They are shortly to appear on a website near you and I will let you know when that happens..
