Folk and Festival Costume of the World
Folk and Festival Costume of the World is a book published in 1966 in London and written by Mrs R Turner Wilcox. .
The book contains drawings of people in costume and dress, some everyday and some for special occasions. Each double page spread in the volume is a plate of images - the entry for Vietnam is pictured, right - from one country or region beside which are descriptions. Some of these areas no longer exist, at least not in the form they are depicted in the book - Hong Kong, for example, as a British Crown Colony.
It is a lovely record of history as well as costume though and has joined the collection in the library.
