Flower portraits
Part of a series called Thunderstruck, Pamela Golden's portraits of flowers evoke the photography of yesteryear.
In these five paintings, watercolour on sandpaper, flowers become almost like cyanotypes. While some of the flowers are familiar, others are more unusual; night-flowering, bat-pollinated blooms , for example. These delicate flower portraits have been shown in the studio over this week and they, and the rest of the paintings in the series, can be seen in this publication.
