Our past weavers - Fiona Daly

We have been very lucky to work with some extraordinary people at the studio and we like to keep up with what they are doing now. Here is Fiona Daly's news.

Fiona was with us in 2012 and worked on a project for knee blankets which, if you have been to the studio, you will have seen. The blankets are inspired by Shetland colours of the native sheep and by Fair Isle patterning, and if you are in Yell, come along and see the samples. Now Fiona is working on woven blankets using Scottish Wool including, of course, Shetland.

For the past year Fiona has been at Edinburgh Contemporary Crafts as resident weaver and now is starting to run courses as a tutor. If you fancy a go at learning to weave, sign up to a Woven Cottons Beginners Course which starts this month.
