The last of the summer tours
We are rapidly nearing the end of the summer and the last of the tours.
Touring the isles with a small group is often surprising, sometimes poignant, and always interesting. We have had a good season with all of the tours bringing a mix of nationalities to share in the fun of driving around the isles looking at culture, history, scenery, geology and of course, textiles! Now that the season is closing (with Wool Week marking its finale) we can start the winter programme and looking ahead to the new touring season next year.
In 2020 I will be running seven tours, four of which have been filled, and two of which are half filled. There are places in May, July and September and if you would like more details send an email and I can reply with the tour brochure. All the touring income remains in the charity and is used to promote Shetland's textiles and our educational programme.
Thank you to all of you who have come along this year. Onwards and upwards!
