Elections and lockdowns

This week England went back into a lockdown, and the US election was held.

At the time of writing the election results are still not announced officially. It has been a long, drawn-out process to count all the ballots, and there are probably a few days yet until the results are announced with any certainty.

While the election has been going on England re-entered Covid restrictions like lots of other places across Europe, albeit a softened version of the first time around. Although we cannot go shopping for anything except essentials, and the museums, galleries and zoos are all closed again for a month, the parks are open, resplendent in glorious autumn colour. These shorter days with cooler air and blue skies are a real favourite.

During this really stressful time we are gardening and painting public areas on our estate in London to help keep ourselves and our neighbours positive. Mental health can really suffer at these times so I hope you are all managing.

If you are looking for something to do, check out some of the classes online. Domestika has some good ones and there are lots that totally free on the internet if you simply search for something you are interested in.

Stay safe and well everyone this Northern Hemisphere winter. Here is to lots of good days filled with creativity.
