The Earth from Earth

You may remember the artist Luke Jerram who created a moon sculpture in 2016. Luke has been at it again...

This time he has created a 7 metre in diameter globe which uses NASA imagery to recreate the Earth. The globe is internally lit and was made for the Bluedot music and science festival in the UK. The actual piece was made by Cameron Balloons in Bristol, and sewn together in panels. Doesn't it look amazing!

Sadly it appears that the original Moon sculpture has been lost on the way to a festival in Austria. If anyone sees it floating around please return it immediately so that everyone can enjoy it.
