Discovering Textiles - Textiles in Burman Culture

In this streamed talk, from the Rug and Textile Appreciation Morning series, by Sylvia Fraser-Lu, the author looks at the evolution of Burmese textiles including those of some of the more remote areas of the country.

If you fancy learning more about the region's textiles here is a link to a 3-section book published in 1917 with lots of information and pictures to look at from a collection made in the 19th Century. You can also find out more from the Oxford Asian Textile Group.
