A CALL FOR INTEREST FROM SHETLAND CRAFT MAKERS by Monday 7th April
WirdCraft is a Shetland ForWirds project, celebrating dialect through craft product in collaboration with Shetland’s craft makers and Shetland Arts.
Shetland ForWirds invites Shetland based craft makers to take part in the year of dialect 2014. We invite you to do this through the incorporation of dialect meaning or text into the design of your own current or new craft products.
Shetland ForWirds is marking its tenth anniversary by celebrating this year as a community- wide Year of Dialect. SFW was established in 2004 to promote the continued use of the dialect. There are two parts to this celebration of dialect in craft.
WIRDCRAFT AT BONHOGA a selection of dialect-inspired Shetland craft product will be launched in Bonhoga Gallery Shop at 12pm on Saturday 1st November and shown until 23rd December 2014.
