A cabinet of curiosities

The  Cabinet of Curiosities has enchanted and intrigued artists and here is one that I really like the look of.

Inspired by the work of Robert Dick, Baker and Botanist in Thurso in Victorian times, the artist Joanne B Kaar has created her own version of the cabinet. Robert collected mosses and his collection is now in Caithness. Here is Joanne's version  and some pictures of the making of the art piece.

I also like the look of her amazing recreations of Angus MacPhee's woven grass garments. Perhaps a visit to see it all is on order....
