Our community

Tonight I was very lucky to be part of a fund-raiser for Yell for Cancer, the local charity shop which raises money for cancer research and hospice care.

It has been a brilliant night, full of music and laughter, and a full-to-capacity hall, everyone there to support the fund-raising for this important cause. I was part of a double act as a ventriloquist and his dummy, and there was splendid fiddle music, lovely singing, fantastic dancing and very amusing skits. It is times like these that I am very thankful that I live in Shetland where community means so much still. Congratulations to everyone involved for a super night.
