Have you been watching the BBC series about colour? Available on iPlayer to anyone in the UK, the programmes are fascinating and, if you will excuse the awful pun, illuminating...

The first programme (which is presented by Helen Czerski and is for the Open University) was all about the colours of Earth and the second is colours of Life. Both have taught me many things that I did not know about the fascination and wonder that colour brings us and, as someone who loves colourful things, it is a real treat to have the series to look forward to each week. 

If you are outside the UK, you may be able to find the series elsewhere. It is called Colour: The Spectrum of Science. And did you know that colour does not exist outside our perception. How is that for a puzzle on a Sunday morning.
