A Shibori workshop weekend

In a few weeks' time we will be hosting Cathy Moon who is leading a two day exploration of the fascinating craft of Shibori.

Shibori, the Japanese art of resist dyeing to produce patterned cloths, is a wonderfully versatile way to explore colour and tying/ stitching techniques for producing interesting effects on fabrics. In August we are very pleased to have Cathy, an Australian shibori artist, here in the studio for a weekend (10th and 11th August).

If you fancy booking a place - details on the poster on this page - please email (andy@globalyell.org).

(On a related note, did you see the article about indigo being used for dyeing 6,000 years ago?! Thanks to Sue, eagle-eyed reader, who sent this link in. Amazing!)
