The photographer who came for dinner
Mawhera Greymouth is constantly surprising.
This week we were very happy to welcome Caroline McQuarrie for a meal; Caroline has family connections to the town. We spent a happy few hours talking about life in New Zealand and art. Caroline's practice is concerned with history and the untold stories that surround accepted narratives. Through photography, weaving, and cross-stich embroidery the artist explores those stories, often in intimate detail.
