The paper cutouts of Carlo Fantin

The world seems to be connected in every way nowadays. Everyone seems to be looking at the ubiquitous glowing screen of a smart phone or iPad. So here is a humorous take on social media.

Crafted from paper, these intricately cut portraits of Christian iconography by Carlo Fantin look like lace at first glance... but there is a message. Each of the images incorporates social media icons and tools. I love  "Sacred Facebook Heart" and "Philippians 2:3", not just for their witty take on modern communication but for the subtle dig at the way the world has changed.
