The Breckon bed runners

The current project, Fibonacci bed runners, is well-underway.

The colours, as you may know if are a regular reader of the blog, were chosen and ordered by Alicja Tyburska who was working with me last year. They represent the colours of a breaking wave at the beautiful Sands o'Breckon in North Yell.

The project is for The Shetland Tweed Company and there are three patterns in the collection; a herringbone, a twill and a cloth which looks like it is completely random but is based on a twill. The latter is my favourite because it gives the effect of the sunshine on the water as the cloth shimmers in the daylight...

The Shetland Tweed Company will be selling these cloths over the summer from the weave studio in Yell. Come up and have a look!
