Boxes to Bags - Lois Walpole workshop

In another curlew moment, this time we have recycling as the order of the week. (see the previous post about Waste Land).

Those of us who saw Lois Walpole's exhibition in Shetland a few years back will remember the beautiful shapes and colours of her recycled pieces. Baskets, bags and a myriad of other crafted objects, full of fun and humour and life.

Lois is holding a workshop in Yell in March on the 2nd and 3rd, Boxes to Bags, teaching some of the techniques of basket-making. We are very excited about it, especially as one of our local basket-makers is helping out too!
