New books for the library

We have three new books for the library. 

Charles Rennie Mackintosh by Taschen is full of pictures of the work of the architect/ designer/ artist with a section on the famous textile designs. An invaluable resource for students and anyone looking for inspiration from the Scottish landscape, this book has a wealth of knowledge and information about this most fascinating man.

The Grammar of Chinese Ornament by Owen Jones is a reprint of an 1867 book with 100 plates of objects from collections including the South Kensington Museum. 

The last book is of Mosaics from the ancient world. 51 plates of mosaics from Byzantium, Rome and the Italian Renaissance, published by Paul Hamlyn in 1967.
