Bob Pegg

A few years ago, I had the very great honour of working with Bob Pegg, introduced to me by Lawrence Tulloch, Shetland's great storyteller. Storytelling is a real favourite; I grew up with parents reading and telling tall tales, and loved to read aloud as a child, and Lawrence introduced me to Shetland stories very early on in my life in the islands. Bob came up to Shetland to tell his tales and play music, going around the schools and working magic with the kids. Now he is about to appear at the Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh. Wish I could be there!

Café Voices: Highland Folk Tales

Bob Pegg's new collection for The History Press is packed with stories full of adventure, intrigue, and

otherworldly magic, all rooted in the wild Highland and Caithness landscape. Join him for a telling of

some of the book's most dramatic tales, together with a mini-popup exhibition of John Hodkinson's

bold illustrations.
