Textile art at the Biennale

The Venice Biennale (did I happen to mention that we had been there recently!) had a few pieces that used textiles, threads and fabrics in their making.

A previous post has the Portuguese pavilion with its underwater scene made out of knitting, crochet and sewn fabrics, and the Bevilacqua fabrics. The textile pod too is mentioned. Here are some other pieces that used embroidery, felt and threads to create art including amazing tapestries from Senegalese artist Papa Ibra Tal.

I do have the other makers' names and details. If you would like them, please email.
