A bedspread fit for a King

A rather splendid bedspread has just gone on display in Cumbria, England.

The gift of King James II to loyal supporters, the piece has just been painstakingly unrolled and will be undergoing conservation on public view at Sizergh.   Have a look at the article on museumcrush which has some pictures of the piece and more information on its possible origins in India.
