Barkcloth at the Hunterian

The Hunterian Museum at the University of Glasgow is currently showing a collection of barkcloths.

The exhibition, running until November 29th, showcases the Museum's own collection of these Pacific cloths and highlights the importance of such collections to knowledge and research. Alongside the show of the actual fabrics are tools, dyes and plant species, and the findings of an AHRC-funded research project Situating Pacific Barkcloth in Time and Place.
