The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum

The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum stands on the waterfront of Baku, looking out over the Caspian Sea. The museum opened in 2014 in this building which is shaped like a rolled-up carpet!

The woven pieces of the region are so important that they are included in UNESCO's Heritage List as you can see here. For examples of the carpets on show, and to see the building, head on over to the Virtual Tour on the museum website. The rest of the website is rather fun to play on and explore too!
