Our last visitors of the season

Every year the season for visitors to Shetland seems to get a little longer. We have just said goodbye to our last group who have been with us for three days.

The Swedes, for that is who they were, came to Shetland to spend time at a time of year when most people are considering heading to warmer climes. And what a great time we had. A workshops with Shona Skinner, a visit to the Mid Yell Junior High School, a tour of Paparwark studio, fantastic scenery and weather that showed almost all that Shetland has to offer! It was such a good experience showing off our islands to other islanders and comparing notes. I thoroughly recommend October for last minute visitors.

Thank you everyone who welcomed our guests; Shetland at its most hospitable.
