Artists in the Booth
A couple of weeks ago, I met Sally Booth and Evlynn Sharp, an artist and a poet respectively, who are staying and working in the Booth in Scalloway. The two have been working on a project called Edges and Extremes, which is making poetry and pieces about the people, places and industries, and on Saturday this week, they are hosting an open day in the Booth. Drop in anytime between 12 and 4 on Saturday 20th and have a chat. Evlynn gave us a CD of a recent music and poetry project, atmospheric and moving to listen to, and Sally's drawings are full of humour and wit. You will enjoy meeting them both. As an added bonus, any donations go to the local day-care centre and the RNLI. We do get to meet some generous and good folk up here in the North!
