Art in the Church - Notre Dame de France

One of the joys of living part-time in London is the chance to see things that many visitors simply do not have time to experience. This week, we went to the Church of Notre Dame de France to see the beautiful murals created by Jean Cocteau, and happened to be there at the same time as people were singing before Mass. I love the sound of congregational singing; a real honour to listen.

The murals are not the only artworks in the lovely building. An amazing tapestry hangs behind the altar and statues on the facade and inside make this a truly evocative place of contemplation. See the Church just off Leicester Square. Â http://www.ndfchurch.org/en/parish-information/art-history/art-in-the-church/
