We have had a lovely exchange with Elaine from a Waulking group.

Comhlan Luadh Bhaideanach has its own Facebook page, and the group is active in keeping the waulking songs alive and well. I have had some interesting reading material from Elaine, and we have been talking about the Shetland ballad "tradition" ie the oldest poetry and song known  from the islands.
