Weavers we know - Amy Gair

Amy Gair has been a friend of the studio for a few years, visiting and working. So we are very happy to hear that this local lass is going to be graduating with a First Class Honours!

It has been a treat and an education watching Amy's work develop and grow through the years. From Shetland College beginnings to her most recent pieces they have always been interesting, using colour in a sophisticated way to exemplify the landscape and surroundings of her native Shetland. We are very proud to have three pieces woven by Amy for us to put into production at some point in the future, and we are also excited to hear and see what she plans to do next. For the moment I am sure it is to have a well-deserved rest. Congratulations Amy!
