Alice Kettle in the library

This week we bought a new book for the library: Eye of the Needle.

The book is all about the work of textile artist Alice Kettle who most of you will be familiar with. Alice is an embroiderer, using stitch to create intricate, powerful portraits and installations which need to be experienced to be believed. This book is a unique look at the inspiration for her work with commentary by the artist and colour photographs of pieces and details.
