Aimless wanderings around the internet

If you are like me and just can't keep your attention fixed on one thing for long, then the internet was made for you.

Here is a short sequence of links that took my fancy today, giving me some great music along the way. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I did and, if you have something similar, let us know of your explorations.

My journey began this morning with Africasacountry.com interview with Valerie June, which led to her song on YouTube, You Can't Be Told. Something qbout this song led me to look at an email I had received about this show at the Pitt Rivers Museum all about rainforest soundscapes. (Thank you kind reader who sent this in). From there it was a short step to water drumming (and earth bows) on SoundCloud.com. And then to Zap Mama. Somehow, in the afternoon, I got all nostalgic (I wasn't even out of short trousers then but nostalgia is a funny thing) and listened to this lively piece of nonsense, this from the Mamas and Papas, and Mama Cass singing about dreaming.  Of course, that led to this from deezer.com which is perfect for sending anyone to sleep. What a lot of fun! Isn't the internet great for exploring and getting a little bit lost along the way...
