After the concert was over....

A huge thanks to everyone who participated and volunteered and helped and cheered us on at the concert on Saturday in Islesburgh. Our tickets sold well and we raised over £300 for the Singing Saturdays group. That, combined with the donations from Christmas means that we have just a shade under £1000 for the group to enable us to go to the next stage.

We had a really fun evening. Relaxed, informal, great music, splendid singing, and fine home bakes.

The Let's Make a Musical group did everyone proud (thanks to Adult Learning for helping us make it happen), the adult choirs were tuneful and harmonious, and, most importantly, the Singing Saturdays children and young people did a very good job indeed.

The next set of Singing Saturdays starts at the end of April. Before this, we will be visiting schools to offer a free session so that we get more youngsters to our Saturdays. Onwards or, as Buzz Lightyear says "To infinity and beyond....."
