Louise Sherry - a winter visitor 2010

The first week of March 2010 brought Louise Mills up to the islands to spend time at the Centre, and to meet makers and craftspeople. Louise was very keen to find out what life in the islands is like, and, as a weaver, is especially interested in meeting textile folk.

Louise has now returned to Glasgow but is planning to come back and spend time developing her work and ideas.

Each year, we have short-term visitors who come along to find out a bit more of the work that we do, and to meet people. We would like to encourage more people to come up to the isles, to stay with local families, and to spend time developing work and ideas.
