A little serendipity...
I live a mile or so down the road from where I work, and try to walk to work because it is such a good way to begin the day. My mind starts to work as I go, and the breathtaking moments of scenery really get me thinking.

This morning, it was rainy in patches and I decided to walk to clear my head. Migrating geese flew overhead, blue sky gave way to massive blue-black clouds, and squalls of rain fell in the distance, lit by shafts of sunlight. Dee Dee Bridgewater sang her Malian airs, matching perfectly the desert images with the Shetland space and light, and as I rounded the corner to see the loch with swans dabbling along the edges, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle lit up my iPod. Sometimes I think that particular piece of equipment manages to get right into the mood of the day!
Walking and giving myself time to think and look, wonder, ponder and plan is always a good thing.
