The 4th annual IslandSongs

This weekend we have been creating our performances for IslandSongs in Unst, an event that brings teachers and communities together to make a musical play in a day and a half.

For the past few years we have been very lucky to have Lin Marsh and Wendy Cook teach. Both are experienced in musical theatre and Lin writes the music which Wendy choreographs for us. This time we are doing Lights! Camera! Action! with songs from musicals and we have had a fantastic day working on songs from Fiddler on the Roof, 42nd Street and The Pajama Game. Wonderful songs and brilliant teachers have made this an event to remember and we are looking forward to the concert tomorrow afternoon with Singing Saturdays, ShantyYell Men, the Unst Choir and Lawrence Tulloch telling stories.
