Joining a group of like-minded people to go on a voyage of exploration is always fun and interesting. We are very proud of our Textile Journeys which combine the best of Shetland’s textiles knowledge and experience with superb scenery, good food, and company.
The tours are four days and nights long, staying in bed and breakfast accommodation, and travelling the length and breadth of Shetland to visit makers in their studios, factories producing weaveand knitwear including Jamiesons and The Wool Brokers, and designers, as well as museums and heritage centres. Each tour is guided and is limited to eight people.
We also take in the stunning variety of Shetland's scenery, from the peat moorland of Yell to the cliffs of Eshaness. With many stops for photographs and coffee and cake, our tours are enjoyed by anyone wanting to know more about these fascinating islands and their textile heritage.
