Art on the BBC

There are some great programmes on BBC at the moment about art. Have a look at iPlayer for two of them.

British Art at War is all about Paul Nash, the artist who pictured the First World War in ways that had never been thought of before. A brilliant programme which explains passionately and eloquently how Nash saw the horrors of war and brought it into his work.

On a cheerier note, Jago Cooper presents us with the Olmec civilisation from Central America who thrived 3000 years ago and who created beautiful art and artefacts which continue to haunt us today.

Sadly iPlayer is not available to everyone. Those of you outside the UK may be able to get the programmes in other ways. Look for British Art at War and Lost Kingdoms of Central America.
