News from the House

The Royal Opera House has an amazing team working to put on the shows and this includes apprentices. The House apprenticeship scheme was recently supported for another ten years through the Derek Butler Trust. Have a look at this report from the BBC about the scheme with interviews and walks-through of the different areas of the theatre.

At the same time, Antonio Pappano, the ROH’s music director has been honest and forthright in this interview on the BBC about the pressures and stresses that opera stars face. Opera is most definitely NOT for the faint-hearted!
