Storyteller Lawrence Tulloch

When we moved to Shetland, Lawrence Tulloch and his family took us under their wing and taught me many things about island life, including how to speak, sing and understand dialect.

Lawrence is a storyteller, one of Shetland's best, and has been telling stories about trows, bears and Shetland life for as long as I have known him. Lighthouse man and author, he has been a good friend and companion for all the years I have lived in Shetland and it is thanks to him that Shetland songs are very special to me. Lawrence has just celebrated a birthday so, here's to Lawrence! Many, many happy returns and may there be  stories to tell for years to come.
