Da Voar Redd Up

Shetland is well-known for its strong sense of community and one of the visible signs of this is Da Voar Redd Up, the annual rubbish collections that take place across the islands. Each year, tonnes of plastic and other waste is picked up from beaches, verges and fields by volunteers, and removed from the isles by the Shetland Amenity Trust.

Now in its 26th year, we are proud to be part of the Redd Up again, and we are looking for volunteers to help us remove rubbish from the beach at Gutcher and the roadsides on Sunday 28th April. If you are looking to make a real difference to the islands, please give us a call (01957 744 355) or send us email and let us know you are interested.
