Charles Rennie Mackintosh

Charles Rennie Macintosh is well-known to just about everyone interested in design and architecture, and we are very pleased to have bought two books for the library which feature the textiles work of the Macintoshes. Not as famous as his other work, Macintosh and his wife, Margaret's textile designs are ground-breaking; sinuous forms and bold colours, abstracts and florals.

Both Textile Designs and Charles Rennie Macintosh are available for visitors to the Centre to read and study. The library is open to the public by appointment; contact Andy on 01957 744 355 or email globalyell@btconnect.com to arrange a time to visit.
